Details:
This beginner class will provide general overview of knitting. You will learn skills such as reading a pattern, choosing materials, casting on, knitting, purling, counting stitches, troubleshooting, fixing mistakes, binding off, and more. This class will focus on achieving confidence in basic skills. No experience necessary but if you have some experience, this class will help you build your skills. (supply list provided at registration).
Supply list for knitting class
US 6 (4.0mm) circular knitting needles of any material (wood, bamboo, metal, or plastic) and at least 24" in length
OR
US6 (4.0mm) single-point knitting needles of any material (wood, bamboo, metal, or plastic)
100g worsted weight wool yarn (note: students who are allergic to wool may use cotton or acrylic yarn instead)
2 stich markers or safety pins
1 tapestry/yarn needle
1 pair of scissors or nail clippers
1 US F (3.75mm) or G (4.0mm) crochet hook, for picking up stitches while troubleshooting
1 small cloth/crafting tape measure
1 pen/pencil and notepaper
