Details:
We will head north to the Olympic Peninsula for this forested, moderate 4.5 mile hike. Always within earshot of tumbling water, we will hike clockwise and cross over a bridge spanning Big Creek above a gorgeous cascade. After 1 mile the grade gets steeper. Mount Washington hovering above can occasionally be seen through gaps in the forest canopy. At 1.7 miles we'll come to a junction. We can continue straight on the loop, or take an interesting side trip dropping to the confluence of Big and Branch Creeks. Round trip is 4.5 miles with an elevation gain of 900 ft. Difficulty rating: Easy to Moderate
