    This is an intermediate photography class on the Art of photography, not how to use your camera. For this class, you need to have been using your camera long enough to be familiar with the camera buttons and how to use the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO or have taken the Introduction to Your DSLR Camera class. This class will cover Composition: how to look at a scene like a photographer and mistakes to avoid, along with concepts to remember: such as exposure triangle; depth of field; rule of thirds.
    We will be reviewing student images to increase your knowledge and improve your image shooting abilities. Bring your camera, manual, and 3 images on a drive or card to class. Two field trips are planned; one will be a night shoot.

    Alderbrook Resort has over five miles of walking and hiking trails located on the beautiful Hood Canal. From the Big Tree Loop trail to the longer Huckleberry Hillclimb trail, there is a route for every skill level. If the weather cooperates, you see beautiful views of the Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains. Comfortable benches line the trails so guests can rest and enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest. We will finish up the day with brunch at "The Restaurant at Alderbrook," which offers a variety of local
    seafood brought fresh from the Puget Sound and Hood Canal. Bring money for brunch and comfortable walking shoes. (Brunch is an open menu not buffet.) Difficulty: Easy to Moderate based on individual hike choices.

If you're hungry, grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants in town, especially those offering delicious German food. At dusk, everyone gathers to sing "Silent Night" and witness the lighting of the Christmas tree and the village as it is transformed into a magical wonderland of lights. Meals are on your own, so bring sack lunch/dinner or money.
